Soft (Daily Wear) Contact Lenses
Soft daily wear contact lenses are safe and very comfortable to wear, but they must be removed during long naps and before bedtime. To maintain optimum safety and comfort, you must wear and care as instructed. Your success with these lenses depends on it.
Disposable Soft Contact Lenses
The soft disposable contact lens system is a healthier, more convenient and more economical approach to contact lens wear. The system is simple: when your scheduled wear period is over, just throw the used lenses away and replace them with new lenses the next day.
Disposable lenses can be worn for either overnight-extended wear or daily extended wear. Others are designed strictly for daily wear use. The life of a disposable contact lens depends on your wearing schedule.
Traditional Contact Lenses
Traditional contact lenses build up residue and deliver less oxygen to the eye. As they age, they eventually become less comfortable and provide less visual function. Short-term disposable contact lenses will promote better eye health, consistent eye comfort and optimum vision.
Astigmatic (Toric) Contact Lenses
Special toric contact lenses correct astigmatism. They differ significantly from regular contact lenses because they fit over your eye's natural egg-shape curvature. A toric lens has two different powers. Each aligns in a specific direction. When you place a toric lens on your eye, it rotates with your initial blinks and quickly stabilizes, which places the astigmatic visual correction at the proper angle or position.
A conventional contact lens has the same power in all directions.
Bifocal Contact Lenses
Bifocal contact lenses are the most technologically advanced contact lenses in eye care today. As with spectacle eyewear, dual power contact lenses provide both distance and close-range correction.
The adaptation to bifocal contacts may require a longer time period than conventional contacts. During this adaptation period, we advise caution while driving, or performing other critical visual functions.
Gas Permeable Contact Lenses
Gas permeable contact lenses are manufactured from a special plastic material, which combines the visual correction and durability of conventional hard contact lenses with the comfort of soft contact lenses.
The permeability allows your eye's delicate tissues to breathe more normally by permitting eye nourishing oxygen to pass through the lens.
