| A |
Usually about 45 minutes. |

Will my pupils be dilated, and, if so, will I be able to drive afterward? |
| A |
We generally dilate for all comprehensive eye exams. Often we use a milder drop that does not affect focusing; so most people can drive afterward. |

Do you have to do that air puff test, and what is it for, anyway? |
| A |
We do the air puff test for all exams to check the amount of pressure inside your eye to test for glaucoma. We use a new instrument that's fully automated and uses a softer, gentler puff than older instruments.

| Q |
How often do I need to have an eye exam if I wear contacts? |
| A |
A yearly exam is required to keep your contact lens prescription up to date. A contact lens is a medical device, which rests directly on the cornea, one of your body's most delicate and sensitive structures. The fit of the contact lens or the integrity of the cornea may change over time, and close supervision is required to ensure happy, healthy long-term contact lens wear.
